WordPress 4.2 “Powell” released

The latest WordPress version, 4.2 has been released and has some nice new features as well as 373 bug fixes.

Update to Press This

You can find this under the Tools menu, it has been in WordPress since 2.6. It hasn’t received much love for a while, with the update sharing has never been easier. Just add the Press This to your bookmarks for quick access. Note that the update could cause it to clash with some security add-ons in Firefox.

New characters supported

These include native Chinese, Japanese and Korean characters. You can also play around with the new emoji in WordPress.
